DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a 2-day Mental Health First Aid training on February 12th and 14th (9am-1:30pm both days) in the MCC Library Lab. Must attend both days to receive certification. This workshop is only for MCC students. We are limited to 20 spaces\, so please sign-up here. This early intervention public education program teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge; how to listen non-judgmentally and reassure a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge; and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.\nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:In an effort to provide you with the most current and comprehensive information about our programs\, we require prospective nursing students attend a Nursing Information Session.* \nThis Information Session is Live\, On the MCC Campus. \nInformation regarding pre-reqs\, the admissions process\, the entrance exam\, academic requirements (nursing and general education)\, and competitive ranking is covered in detail during the session. Participants will receive the necessary paperwork to apply for admission and will have the opportunity to ask questions. A follow up individual appointment may be scheduled if necessary. \n\nThere is no fee to attend and registration is not required.\nThe information session starts promptly at the posted time.\nPlease be a few minutes early as late arrivals will not be accommodated.\n\nStudents may complete the RN program on a part time basis\, however\, nursing and clinical components must be completed concurrently. Students graduate with an Associate degree of Science in Nursing and are eligible to take the RN state board exam. Students may continue on to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at various four-year nursing programs. \n—– \n*Please check your Information Session location carefully before attending!  \n\nSome sessions are in-person on campus only and held live at MCC.\nSome sessions are virtual only via Zoom (link provided in the listing).\nSome sessions are offered as a combination\, with both live and virtual/Zoom attendance options for the same event.

DESCRIPTION:MCC will host the NH/VT VEX Robotics State Championships on Saturday\, February 17th for the top 40 high school teams and on Sunday\, February 18th for the top 40 elementary and middle school teams. \nBoth events are free and open to the public. Volunteers are needed for team check-in\, team queuing\, judging\, and field reset on both days.
