Overview
Learn how to work as a paraprofessional in early intervention or early childhood special education and inclusionary classrooms. Teachers and paraprofessionals are increasingly working in inclusive settings and are responsible for meeting students’ Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs). An IEP is the written plan that outlines the learning strategies and individualized support services required to accommodate a student with special needs.
This certificate will help you become a valuable member of the IEP or IFSP team by providing training to effectively work with children with unique learning characteristics. Earning the certificate is recommended if you aim to work as a paraprofessional in public schools or as part of the team that helps develop, maintain and evaluate Individualized Education Programs.
