Overview
The Mechatronics certificate will prepare you to work in today’s advanced manufacturing industry. Earning this certificate will provide you with detailed knowledge of machining, electrical and electronic theory as it applies to the latest technologies and skills required by manufacturers. You will learn installation, troubleshooting and maintenance for all types of electromechanical and manufacturing machinery.
Mechatronics Employment Opportunities
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment opportunities in engineering technology, (which includes mechatronics) are expected to grow at a rate of 5% through 2016 (www.bls.gov). The average annual salary for electromechanical technicians, including mechatronics technicians, for the New England states was $52,641 in May 2011.
Do You Qualify for Tuition Assistance?
You may be eligible for free training benefits through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Free training services are available to individuals age 18 or older through the WIOA Program who meet program eligibility guidelines.
