Professor Hanna has been an integral part of Manchester Community College’s Welding program since 2000 when he started as an adjunct, then became a full-time MCC professor in 2007.

He began working in the metalworking field as a machinist/welder at Newtron Corporation in Newton, MA when he was a Junior in High School and throughout his college years. After graduating from Keene State College, he taught at Londonderry High School for 18 years, teaching classes in: Power and Energy; Metalworking/Welding; Woodworking; Graphic Arts; and, Drafting.

While teaching at Londonderry High School, Hanna developed the School to Career program there, cultivating work experiences for students at Poly-Vac Inc., Manchester.

Since 1998, Hanna has run his own welding/metalworking business, Hanna Metalworks, which was incorporated in 2002. He continues to run this business year-round, specializing in custom metalwork fabrications, repairs and steel construction.

He has also served as a private instructor for Wire Belt Technologies, developing training guides for employees and teaching GTAW and Machine Tool Setup.
