Michael Magoon is a full-time educator at Manchester Community College. Michael began his teaching career in 1996 at various local colleges and universities, such as New Hampshire Community Technical College, McIntosh College, and University of New Hampshire as a Tutor, Teaching Assistant, or Adjunct Faculty member while working full time in industry. In 2003 Michael was nominated as “Faculty of the Quarter” and was one of twelve finalists for the Educator-of-the-Year award. In 2011, Michael earned the CCSNH Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence. In 2019, Michael earned the NH Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) “Entrepreneur of the Year” award and also the NH Department of Education “EDies Business Educator of the Year” award.

Michael earned a Master of Science degree in Business Education (M.S.B.E.) from the Graduate School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics (W.S.B.E.) at the University of New Hampshire (UNH); and an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice Studies from McIntosh College. Michael is an active member of the New Hampshire Business Education Association (NHBEA) and serves on the NHBEA Board of Directors. He was the President and Vice President of Delta Pi Epsilon (DPE), a National Honor Society for the Graduate School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University and is currently the MCC chapter advisor and NH state faculty advisor for Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL).

Prior to becoming an educator on a full-time basis, Michael held various management and marketing positions at well-known companies such as Citizens Bank and Automatic Data Processing (ADP). Michael also owns his own businesses and brings that experience and knowledge into the classroom on a regular basis. In industry he has had the opportunity to develop and manage several innovative strategic marketing campaigns for various organizations and clients. He has management experience in supervisory and executive-level positions. Michael believes that success is what happens when preparation and opportunity meet.
