March 6, 2025

MANCHESTER, NH – Keira Stack, a Manchester Community College senior from Derry majoring in accounting, has been named New Hampshire’s 2025 New Century Transfer Scholar. She graduates from MCC this spring and will receive a $2,250 scholarship toward pursuing her bachelor degree at SNHU.

New Century Transfer Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. Nearly 2,100 students from more than 1,300 college campuses nationwide were nominated. Only one New Century Transfer Scholar is selected from each state.

“It has been a privilege to be part of Keira’s educational journey, and we’re thrilled that she was selected for this prestigious transfer scholarship,” said MCC President Paul Beaudin.

The transfer scholarship program is sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK),  The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Keira is a member of MCC’s Alpha Pi Rho Chapter in Division 1 of the New England region of Phi Theta Kappa. PTK is the first honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges.

“I’ve truly felt like a part of the MCC community, with its incredible students, faculty, and staff, and I’m excited to continue this journey as I become a modern-day treasure hunter studying forensic accounting at SNHU,” Keira said.

In addition to her scholarly pursuits, Keira is a dancer with the McGonagle School of Irish Dance in Nashua, NH. She recently competed and placed 43rd at the All Ireland Championships national step dance competition in Killarney.
