Overview
The Recovery Support Worker certificate will provide you with the education, skills and competencies necessary to work with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. This will prepare you for certification as a Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) through the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) as endorsed by the State of New Hampshire. An employee with this certification would be able to work for any agency that contracts for state funding for recovery services, grass roots organizations and private organizations. Jobs could include recovery support worker/recovery coaches at area agencies and coalitions that offer the spectrum of services related to substance misuse.
This certificate is geared toward those who are not yet in the field, as well as those currently working in the field with an interest in training in substance use disorders. This would also be a useful certificate if you work in related fields, such as nursing, or for people with shared experience with substance use disorders.
