Explore the Art of Jozimar Matimano

On Friday February 10th beginning at 5:30 PM, Manchester Community College will host an art gallery show of Jozimar Matimano’s work in MCC’s Student Center, 1066 Front Street in Manchester NH. The event is FREE and open to the public. The evening will begin with an artist presentation, followed by time for visitors to explore Matimano’s paintings and drawings. Refreshments will be served.

Jozimar Matimano is an MCC student, who has been profiled on NH Chronicle. He was born in the East Democratic Republic of Congo, then moved to Uganda at age ten. In 2016, Matimano moved from Uganda with his family to Manchester, NH as a refugee through the International Institute of New England program. He has always been interested in drawing and illustration and took courses at the Institute of Art, before transferring to MCC. On track to graduate with a Liberal Arts degree from MCC this Spring, he plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in art.
